What Information Do We Collect?
What Do We Do With The Collected Information?
The primary purposes why we collect user information, whether collected involuntarily or provided to us by the users voluntarily, is to fulfill users’ requests and enhance our website and product. The collected data helps us keep our site functional, deliver users on their request, deal with customer service requests for internal research, send newsletters and other marketing communication correspondence, send administrative emails, detect and prevent the abuse of the site. Users enjoy complete independence to unsubscribe from our emails. They can do so by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link that’s there mandatorily at the bottom of every email. Or, they can do so by emailing us directly and communicating their request.
How We Protect The Collected Information?
At “Journal of Mines Metals & Fuels”, we follow international standards to protect the data of our users. We have several technical and administrative measures in place that help us with that. The website is regularly scanned to detect security loopholes and vulnerabilities. The system where data gets stored remains protected, with multiple layers of security walls, with access to only trusted individuals. So, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to protecting user data. However, realistically speaking, even with the best of preparations, in the ever-advancing cyber world, it’s not always 100 percent possible to guard against every threat. While we are always ready to take any security challenge head-on, we bear no guarantee. In case, if ever a situation arises when users’ data is compromised, we are not liable to any form of loss sustained by the users.
